What did you listen to during your birthing time?
With my first child's birth, I listened to the soundtrack to Next Stop Wonderland a lot early on. I don't remember listening to any HB tracks but my husband tells me that he put some on. We listened to a lot of Liquid Mind as things progressed. My doctor actually commented on how much she liked it.
With my second child, I listened to Easy First Stage and my Birthing Day Affirmations a lot while laboring at home. I think I listened to the deepening track a few times as well. I continued to listen to Easy First Stage in the car on the way to the hospital and maybe even in the delivery room. I don't think we listened to anything while pushing.
Here's what other Hypnomoms said they listened to:
"Fear clearing track, the easy first stage track, and then a mix of nature sounds that I had made myself using the app relax melodies."
"I listened to my day of and affirmations tracks for the seventeen hours before heading to the hospital, then for an hour in the hospital. Once I got Into the tub and after that I stopped."
"Mostly "Pushing Baby Out" (I pushed for a looong time). Tracks were just background noise and I barely heard them. I actively listened mostly to my Hypno-doula and the conversations of those around me."
"I mainly listened to Hypnobabies tracks especially the Deepening track."
"Deepening"
"HypnoBabies Easy First Stage"
"Not much my husband dropped my cd player (by mistake) after an hour at the hospital, it was 11pm so I had no way to replace it. The next 8 hours were very quite. This next time I am bringing more ways to play my cd's."
"For many hours I listened off an on to the birthing day affirmations. I had to keep moving and walking to keep my pressure waves consistent, so I wasn't able to use any hypnosis tracks. The birthing day affirmations kept me positive and focused on the process though!"
"I immediately listened to Easy First Stages when I started having birthing waves. I went on to listen to Fear Clearing, and Deepening. I always had a hard time settling during the Deepening track when studying, but it was great during the birth! I only pushed for about 5 minutes, so I never even got a chance to listen to the Pushing Stage."
"Soft piano music, a relaxation mix."
"Yoga music"
"Creating Anesthesia, Deepening, Hypno Childbirth One, Birthing Day Affirmations"
"Easy first stage Hypnobabies track"
"Nothing, really. I listened to my birthing day cd on the car ride over to the hospital, but that was about it. If I had known that listening to the scripts wasn't required during labor, I probably would have tried to listen to regular music.
